We are now in the great corridor, to the north, heading towards the hill. Let us enter the chapel from the door in the large atrium. The great arch in Costozza stone, on which the year 1605 is engraved, features various friezes and, below, the coat of arms of the Augustinian Order. Also, two large windows have been opened since the former refectory was turned into a chapel. These windows replaced two large stone washbasins, where the monks would wash their hands. The atrium once led into the refectory and, at the other end, into in the kitchen (now the sacristy).
