The monastery is rectangular in shape, and measures 80x70 metres.

The ground floor was devoted to receiving pilgrims. This majestic complex includes wide, spacious corridors and a welcoming, roomy cloister. Ribbed vaults replace the beams and distribute the weight of the ceilings and floors onto the mighty walls and the cloister columns. Friar Simone, abbot of the monastery of Augustinian hermit brothers, wanted to build a worthy religious home for his monks, with cells, a refectory, a kitchen (2h) and a great chapter house on the upper floor.

Let us now leave the cloister and enter the first room on the right.
